The game uses a fixed-screen shooting format. You move the ship left and right at the bottom of the screen and fire upward at incoming enemies. Foes generally travel in formation, but some break away to dive-bomb, creating a constant need to dodge and prioritize targets. Clearing each wave advances the game, with later stages increasing enemy speed and the pressure of attacks. The NES version keeps the arcade-style score chase and straightforward controls.

Focus your shots on enemies that peel out of formation, since they pose the greatest threat. Stay near the lower-middle area of the screen to keep room for evasive movement. Watch enemy dive paths before committing to a shot, and take advantage of the brief gaps after an attack run. Consistent survival and wave clearing matter more than risky over-aggression.
