Fire Emblem Gaiden

The game uses turn-based tactical combat on grid maps, where units move, attack, and use magic according to their stats and equipment. Unlike the first Fire Emblem, players can roam towns and dungeons more freely on the world map. Progress is split between Alm's and Celica's routes, with class changes, weapon durability, and careful positioning remaining central to success.

Alm

A dependable armored ally in Alm's army, useful for front-line defense and safe advances.

Build a balanced core around Alm and Celica instead of spreading experience too thin. In dungeons, conserve healing items and use terrain to control enemy movement. Promote key units when their stats and equipment are ready, not just as soon as possible. Ranged magic and chokepoints are especially valuable against tougher encounters.
