Dr. Mario & Puzzle League

The cartridge includes two separate puzzle modes. In Dr. Mario, capsules fall into a bottle-shaped playfield, and the player rotates and positions them to line up four or more matching colors with viruses for elimination. Success depends on managing stack height and setting up multi-step chains. In Puzzle League, the player swaps adjacent panels horizontally to form lines of three or more matching tiles; cleared spaces cause pieces above to drop, often creating combo chains. Each mode features escalating difficulty and score-focused progression.

In Dr. Mario, clear low and side viruses first to open the field for later chains, and avoid stacking too aggressively near the top. In Puzzle League, aim for bottom-row clears to trigger cascading drops, and keep one side of the field as breathing room. Planning two moves ahead is often more valuable than chasing immediate points.

• Learn setups that can clear multiple areas at once instead of making isolated matches.
• Keep one lane or side open as a safety buffer.
• At higher speeds, survival and board control matter more than flashy chains.
