Command & Conquer

The game uses an overhead real-time strategy perspective, with the N64 controller used to move a cursor, select structures, units, and commands. The core loop revolves around harvesting Tiberium, constructing power plants, barracks, factories, and defenses, then producing infantry, vehicles, and aircraft to complete mission objectives. Scenarios often focus on base destruction, escorting, defense, infiltration, or timed assaults, with success depending on economy management, scouting, and unit counters.

Secure power and income first so your production can stay stable. Scout enemy bases before committing to either a rush or a slower build-up; use anti-infantry firepower against squads and bring dedicated anti-armor units once vehicles appear. If you can destroy the enemy’s production structures early, the rest of the mission usually becomes much easier.

Tips and tricks

• Defend harvesting routes so your collectors are not exposed for long periods.
• Many mission failures come from overexpansion, so stabilize your economy before mass-producing units.
• Use terrain choke points and building gaps to let a small force hold key entrances.
