Plants vs. Zombies

The game uses a lane-based defensive layout where players collect sun and spend it on plants such as Sunflowers, Peashooters, and Wall-nuts. Stages include daytime, nighttime, pool, and roof settings, each with different terrain rules and resource considerations. On DS, most actions are handled with touch controls for selecting seed packets, planting, and digging up units. Progress mainly comes through Adventure mode, which unlocks new plants and enemy types, while Puzzle, mini-games, and Survival offer additional challenges.

Adjust your loadout and formation based on the zombies present: Buckethead and Conehead zombies require stronger sustained damage, Pole Vaulters are easier to control with defensive blockers, and airborne threats need proper counters. In pool and roof stages, preserve important tiles for key support plants. Save emergency options like Cherry Bombs, Squash, or freezing plants for heavy waves and sudden lane pressure.

• Your midgame strength usually depends on how efficiently you build sun production in the opening waves.
• Check the stage type first so you know whether to bring support plants for water, roof angles, or nighttime economy.
