Duels are displayed across both DS screens, with the field and monster animations on one screen and hand, menus, and touch controls on the other. Do not overcommit your hand before drawing your win condition; setting monsters and traps to bait attacks is often safer. As your collection grows, building around a single theme such as Spellcasters, Dragons, or Warriors usually produces better synergy than mixing too many ideas.
