Space Invaders

Players control a ground-level cannon that moves left and right within a limited area, firing shots to destroy alien formations that steadily descend. The N64 version presents the action in 3D and adds different game modes and stage variations, with some modes emphasizing speed, shot behavior, or enemy formation changes. Progress comes from clearing waves, completing challenges, or chasing high scores, with movement, timing, and target priority remaining the key skills.

Focus on enemies that are closest to reaching the bottom or moving the fastest, since losing formation control can end a run quickly. Fire with a steady rhythm instead of mashing constantly, and always leave enough room to reposition. In multi-wave modes, clearing edge targets first often keeps the formation manageable and preserves escape routes.
