Space Harrier

The game uses a third-person, behind-the-back perspective with automatic forward movement. Players move the Harrier left, right, up, and down while firing constantly at enemies that rush in from the distance. Stages are built from a sequence of surreal environments filled with small attackers, traps, and large bosses at the end of each area. Success depends on reaction speed, enemy memorization, and maintaining offensive pressure while avoiding collisions and bullets.

Stay near the middle of the screen so you can react to threats from multiple directions. Learn the spawn points of common enemies and move early instead of making last-second dodges. During boss fights, watch for attack patterns and move into the gaps between projectiles before committing to sustained fire. Keep shooting whenever possible, but avoid drifting too close to the edge of the playfield.
