The game uses a side-court view and advances through short matches. Players control the key receiving, setting, blocking, and spiking actions with a joystick and buttons. Team attributes vary, so some lineups lean toward power while others feel more balanced. Single-player focuses on defeating a sequence of CPU teams, while competitive play emphasizes positioning, timing at the net, and choosing the right moment for a hard spike or soft return.

Stay near the expected landing spot on receive and try to keep the ball near the net for a strong attack. Blocking is often more reliable than retreating against high, obvious spikes from the CPU. After serving, move back toward center court quickly so you are not exposed by a deep return. Beginners should start with balanced teams, then switch to power-focused teams once they are comfortable with timing and court coverage.
