The game uses a side-view 2D layout. You move across platforms, climb ladders, hang from bars, and dig left or right to remove blocks temporarily. Each stage is cleared by collecting all gold bars and reaching the exit. Guards chase the player through the terrain and can be delayed by trapping them in dug holes. The NES version includes many stages and keeps the classic puzzle-action structure centered on route planning and timing.

Player Character

The protagonist who digs through terrain, collects gold, and avoids guards.

Guards

Enemy pursuers that track the player's route and block progress.

Plan an escape route before digging, so you do not trap yourself. Use enemy movement patterns to create safe openings, and delay guards with repeated pit traps when needed. Start with gold near edges or high routes to reduce backtracking. In crowded stages, clear the most dangerous path first, then return for the remaining gold.
