Kirby & the Amazing Mirror

The game uses a side-scrolling perspective, but its world is built as a connected map rather than a straight sequence of stages. Players can move freely between regions, backtrack, and unlock new paths with keys, switches, and copied abilities. Kirby inhales enemies to gain powers, which are used for combat, mobility, and opening secrets. Up to four players can cooperate via link cable, each controlling a Kirby clone that can explore separately or group up. Progress is driven by boss defeats, map expansion, and collecting key items.

Mark dead ends and locked doors on the map so you can return later with the right ability. Try every new copied power, since some are useful for traversal rather than just combat. In co-op, split tasks between scouting and fighting to reduce backtracking. Against bosses, stay mobile and use mid-air control to avoid damage while keeping pressure with abilities that have range or lasting hitboxes.

Tips and tricks

• Check the map often and revisit unexplored rooms when you obtain a new power.
• Copied abilities are for movement and secrets as much as for combat.
• In co-op, let one player carry recovery items for tougher fights.
