Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns

The game follows a daily calendar-based routine. You begin in either Bluebell or Konohana, with each town favoring animal husbandry or crop farming. Daily activities include planting, watering, herding, gathering, fishing, mining, cooking, and taking requests, while a mountain path connects both towns. Progress comes from earning money, upgrading tools, expanding the farm, raising friendship levels, and winning cooking festivals that gradually restore harmony between the two communities. Controls combine buttons and touchscreen menus on DS.

Player

The customizable protagonist who starts a new farm life in one of the two towns and works to reconcile them.

Eileen

An important resident connected to Bluebell's atmosphere and local community life.

Ash

A marriage candidate from Bluebell, known for an energetic personality and popularity among players.

Cam

A traveling young man associated with animals and one of the game's marriage candidates.

Licorice

A marriage candidate from Konohana with a calm personality and ties to the town's agricultural setting.

Mikhail

A distinctive bachelor candidate known as a musician who visits and interacts with villagers.

Choose your starting town based on preference, but remember you can change towns later. In the early game, focus on a reliable income source: animal products in Bluebell or profitable crops and cooking in Konohana. Complete request board tasks regularly for friendship gains and useful rewards. Do not ignore mountain foraging, since gathered items provide valuable early money. Before cooking festivals, stockpile quality ingredients and prepare dishes that fit the announced category. Save upgrade materials in advance, and use rainy days for mining, organizing, and indoor tasks.

• For early profit, combine request rewards with mountain foraging and fishing.
• Giving preferred gifts is one of the fastest ways to unlock heart events and strengthen relationships.
