Driver: You Are the Wheelman

The game uses a third-person driving perspective and places players in open urban areas built around mission objectives. Before each assignment, you choose a vehicle and then complete goals such as tailing suspects, escaping pursuers, intercepting targets, or reaching checkpoints within a time limit. Core controls revolve around acceleration, braking, handbrake turns, and reversing to recover from mistakes. Progress is mission-based, and failing an objective usually requires restarting the current assignment.

Learn each city’s road layout, shortcuts, and wide-turn intersections first; route choice often matters more than raw speed. During pursuits, keep the car stable and avoid unnecessary collisions that can ruin control. Use the handbrake only when you need to pivot sharply through corners. When being followed, lanes, underpasses, and side streets can help break line of sight. In tailing missions, maintain a safe gap instead of getting too close.
