Chuck Rock

The game uses a side-scrolling perspective where Chuck moves through prehistoric stages filled with enemies, pits, hazards, and uneven terrain. He attacks mainly with a forward belly bash and can also make use of rocks and environmental objects to deal with threats. Progress comes from reaching the end of each stage while learning enemy placement, timing jumps carefully, and avoiding traps that become more demanding later on.

Use the belly bash whenever enemies approach from the front, since it gives safer reach than walking directly into them. Watch for rocks and movable objects, as they can often clear enemies or help control dangerous spaces. Take time before jumps to read platform spacing and hazard timing. In tougher sections, advance slowly and memorize trap locations instead of rushing forward.
