Choplifter

The game uses a side-scrolling view with a helicopter that can move, hover, descend, and fire. Missions revolve around flying between the base and enemy territory, landing close to hostages, loading them aboard, and transporting them back to safety. Each trip is limited by fuel and enemy pressure, so timing and route choice matter. As stages progress, air and ground threats increase, making safe pickups and clean escapes increasingly important.

Keep your hover low enough to pick up hostages quickly, but leave the ground before enemy fire pins you down. Don’t chase every enemy; conserving fuel and preserving the helicopter is more important than scoring extra hits. Return to base as soon as you fill the passenger limit, and try to clear dangerous ground units near the landing area before attempting a pickup.

• Approach landing zones cautiously and use short hovering windows to reduce exposure.
• A safe retreat is often better than trying to squeeze in one more pickup.
• Learn the fuel rhythm of each stage so you don’t get stranded deep in enemy territory.
