Bubble Bobble

The game uses single-screen, level-based stages viewed from the side. Players jump, move left and right, and blow bubbles to trap enemies. Popped enemies may drop items or bonus fruit, and bubbles can also be used as temporary platforms to reach higher areas. Clearing all enemies advances to the next stage, and maintaining a fast pace can unlock special routes, bonus stages, and the true ending in later loops.

Bub

One of the two dragon protagonists, usually colored blue.

Bob

The second dragon protagonist, usually colored green, and Bub’s partner.

Focus on dangerous enemies first, especially fast or flying ones. Use bubbles to control space and create safe jumps rather than rushing through the stage. In co-op, split responsibilities so one player handles crowd control while the other collects items and finishes stragglers.

Tips and tricks

• Stay near the center of the screen to react quickly on both sides.
• Use bubbles as stepping stones to reach safe high ground.
• Learn each enemy’s movement pattern to set up efficient clears.
