The game uses top-down, stage-based cave layouts. Players move Rockford with the D-pad, dig through dirt, and collect the required diamonds to open the exit. Rocks are affected by gravity and can fall on enemies or the player, so every tunnel matters. Some areas change once diamonds are taken, forcing careful route planning and quick movement through tight spaces. Progress is usually stage by stage, with no room for careless digging.

Characters
Rockford
The player character who digs through caves, gathers diamonds, and avoids hazards.
Strategy
Check for empty space above rocks before digging underneath them. Build an escape path first, then move in for hard-to-reach diamonds. Falling rocks can clear enemies, but only if you leave yourself enough time to move away. When a section looks risky, take the longer route instead of sealing yourself into a dead end.
