Shinobi

The game is presented as a side-scrolling action platformer. You control Joe Musashi through multiple stages, jumping across gaps, climbing onto ledges, and fighting enemies with shuriken and close-range attacks. Ninjutsu techniques provide powerful screen-clearing options for dangerous moments. Progress is stage-based, with repeated enemy encounters, hazards, and checkpoint-style flow depending on the stage layout. Losing all lives sends you back to a restart point or the beginning of the stage.

Keep distance and use shuriken to weaken enemies before they close in. Against fast or airborne foes, move deliberately and attack after landing or after their movement pattern becomes predictable. Save ninjutsu for crowded fights or emergencies rather than spending it too early. In tight platforming sections, slow down and clear threats one by one instead of rushing forward.
