X-Men

The game uses a horizontal side-view and level-based progression. Players choose from several X-Men members, each with distinct combat style, mobility, and mutant abilities. Nightcrawler can teleport short distances, while Cyclops excels at ranged optic attacks. Stages combine enemy fights, jumps, climbing, and environmental hazards, with some sections built around the smart use of a specific hero's powers. A two-player cooperative mode is available, and careful health and energy management is important throughout the campaign.

Learn each character's strengths early and switch your main approach depending on the stage. Use ranged fighters to clear elevated threats before committing to jumps. Nightcrawler is excellent in trap-heavy areas, but careless teleporting can place you directly into danger, so always read the terrain first. Save mutant energy for elites and bosses instead of wasting it on weak enemies. In co-op, one player should pressure at close range while the other provides ranged cover and scouts ahead. If you seem stuck, look for destructible walls, hidden paths, or stage mechanisms.
