The game uses an overhead grid-based tactical system. Players move units, attack enemies, and manage support actions turn by turn while considering terrain bonuses, weapon range, EN consumption, and pilot spirit commands. The Twin Battle System lets compatible units form pairs for stronger combination attacks and better coordination. Between missions, funds and experience are used to upgrade unit stats, weapons, and pilot abilities, gradually expanding the roster through the story.

Focus upgrade resources on a small number of core units first, especially their armor, mobility, and main weapons. Build Twin pairs that combine accuracy and evasion to reduce losses from enemy focus fire. Use spirit commands like Sure Hit, Accel, and Valor at key moments rather than early and often. Before boss fights, clear reinforcements and enemy support units so your strongest attacks can finish the target safely.

• Use terrain bonuses and support attacks frequently, since accuracy often matters more than raw damage.
• Do not spread upgrade funds too thin; powering up two or three main units first makes the campaign much smoother.
