Streets of Rage 3

The game is a side-scrolling beat 'em up where players choose a character and fight through streets, factories, bases, and other stages. Each fighter uses normal attacks, jumps, throws, and special moves, while weapons and recovery items can be picked up from the environment. Some stages branch into different routes that affect later encounters and endings. A more complex special-attack system adds risk-versus-reward decision-making to every fight.

Learn each character's basic strings and throw range first, because overusing special attacks is riskier here than in earlier entries. When fighting groups, keep enemies on one side and use weapons to clear threats efficiently. Try different branch choices on repeat runs, since some routes are easier depending on your character. Against rushdown or grappling enemies, keep moving and use jumping attacks to take the initiative.

Unlock Ash after clearing the game

Ash becomes available as a hidden playable character after meeting the required unlock condition.

• Use stage weapons whenever possible to speed up crowd control.
• Against ranged enemies, close the distance first to avoid chip damage.
