Protector: Special Edition

The game uses a side-scrolling viewpoint where players pilot a fighter across large stages, destroy incoming enemies, and protect humans on the ground. Control revolves around speed management, turning, hovering, and accurate firing. You must both clear airborne threats and rescue people before they are carried away. As stages progress, enemy density, projectile pressure, and rescue demands increase, making route control and situational awareness essential.

Humans

Ground civilians that must be protected from enemy abduction.

Prioritize enemies that can abduct humans, since losing too many quickly escalates the danger. Avoid hovering in the middle of the screen for too long; creating space makes incoming threats easier to read. When rescuing humans, clear nearby attackers first and approach slowly so momentum does not carry you past the target. In dense waves, survival matters more than chasing every kill.

• Memorize where humans usually appear to plan better patrol routes.
• Use short pauses and turning adjustments to line up shots more safely than staying at full speed.
• In later stages, preserving lives is often more important than wiping out every enemy.
