Little League Baseball: Championship Series

The game uses a side-on baseball presentation for batting and pitching, with fielding and baserunning handled through directional controls and button commands. The objective is to score more runs than the opposing team while recording outs and preventing runners from advancing. Play progresses inning by inning. The player selects or delivers pitches, swings at incoming balls, fields hits, throws to bases, and directs runners. Progression is based on winning individual games and completing the available championship-style competition rather than developing persistent player statistics.

Watch the pitcher’s delivery and avoid swinging at marginal pitches. Contact is generally safer than repeatedly attempting power hits, especially with runners on base. On defense, throw to the base that records the most likely out and keep runners from taking extra bases. Use outs to control risk rather than making aggressive throws after every ball in play.

Keep track of outs before committing a runner to the next base.

Mix pitch locations instead of repeating the same input.

Use conservative baserunning when the defense has a clear play.
