The game uses a side-scrolling perspective with linear stage progression. Players choose between Ami and Yumi and move through levels by jumping across gaps, attacking enemies, and collecting items. Music-themed hazards and set pieces appear throughout the stages, adding timing-based platforming challenges. Progress is mainly driven by reaching the end of each level while surviving traps and enemy encounters.

Learn enemy patterns before rushing forward, especially in narrow platforms and hazard-heavy sections. Take jumps carefully and avoid attacking while landing unless there is enough space to recover. When collectible or helpful items appear, grab them during safe moments to maintain momentum through later stages.
