The Guardian Legend

The game alternates between overhead areas and side-scrolling shooter stages. In overhead sections, the Guardian travels through connected rooms, fights enemies, searches for weapon upgrades, and opens routes by defeating area guardians or finding key items. Side-scrolling stages are focused combat sequences with continuous movement, enemy formations, hazards, and a boss encounter. The Guardian can improve her main shot and collect special weapons with limited energy. Progress is organized by numbered areas, and passwords allow a later session to resume with saved progress.

Explore each overhead area carefully before rushing toward its exit. Map dead ends mentally, watch for hidden passages, and collect weapon upgrades because later shooter stages become much harder with weak firepower. Conserve special-weapon energy for bosses and dense enemy patterns. Learn each boss's movement before attacking aggressively, keep moving in open spaces, and use passwords after important progress so a failed attempt does not erase the entire run.
