Crystalis

The game uses a top-down perspective. The player explores an overworld, towns, caves, towers, and other dungeons while searching for the elemental swords and the means to stop Draygon. The hero attacks in real time, charges sword strikes, casts selected spells, talks to residents, collects equipment, and uses items. Experience raises level and statistics, while stronger swords, armor, and shields expand combat options and help overcome environmental obstacles. Progression is structured around story discoveries, key items, boss battles, and access to new regions. The game is primarily a single-player adventure with no separate multiplayer mode.

Chris

The amnesiac protagonist who awakens after the world’s catastrophe and sets out to recover his identity and protect the surviving world.

Mesia

A mysterious young woman connected to the hero’s past and to the ancient forces surrounding the four elemental swords.

Draygon

The principal tyrant and antagonist, who seeks control of the world through military power and ancient technology.

Tornel

A powerful mage who trains the hero and provides important guidance about magic and the elemental swords.

Minea

A princess whose kingdom becomes part of the hero’s early journey and the wider conflict.

Explore every town carefully and speak with residents more than once; clues about hidden routes, items, and story progress are often delivered through dialogue. Upgrade swords, armor, and shields whenever possible. Charge sword attacks against tougher enemies, and match elemental swords and spells to enemy weaknesses and environmental barriers. Save healing items for dungeons and bosses, but use the world map to retreat and recover when an area becomes dangerous. Leveling before major boss fights makes the real-time combat considerably more forgiving.

Search suspicious walls, corners, and dead ends; important caves and items are not always placed on the main route.

Keep multiple healing and status-curing items before entering a major dungeon.

Try different elemental weapons and spells when ordinary attacks appear ineffective.
