At the start of races, protect the inside line and set up your angle before chained corners. Short, controlled drifts are safer than exaggerated slides and help build boosts consistently. Save items instead of firing them immediately: defensive pickups are best when leading, while offensive ones work better in narrow sections or just after turns. In time trials, memorize shortcut entries and avoid wall contact, since losing speed is costly.
